Happy new year
Just before I started writing this I remembered what I posted on the 1st of January 2016, titled “happy new days”. How time flies, it seems just like last year and I had to remind myself that it was actually two years ago and not last year. Its actually a good place to start to encourage ourselves for this new year as there has been a remarkable stride since then. In that post I shared the desire to start a small shelter for women victims of domestic violence. God said we should start with the rod in our hand which was a very small flat and if it was one woman we could accommodate at a time, it was okay by Him. ( paraphrase mine).
Since then it’s been a journey of faith, and Grace’s Place is going to start full functioning this year. Starting from 2016, my friend and I would go to the empty flat and pray for God to furnish it. We prayed for a shelter administrator and we prayed for resources. One by one, God met our needs and in November 2017, He eventually brought our Shelter Administrator so we are finally ready to launch out fully.
Why am I sharing this? To give you encouragement and hope for this year. If God has said it, He will surely bring it to pass. He answers prayers and makes all things beautiful in their time. It’s all about taking that first baby step and God will come through. If God did it for us, He will do it for you. Lets take all our dreams, hopes and aspirations to God in prayer this year and beyond. Faithful is He who has called us, let’s stretch ourselves beyond what we can accomplish in ourselves.
Another follow up on the post is the issue of tying all the loose ends. Well, it’s also been line upon line and precept upon precept. We have the Designer Women Workshops, this blog, the Designer Women groups, the Designer Women Bible study and Graces Place and its all coming together : bringing wholeness and expression to women through Christ. The vision is becoming sharper and clearer and its all about all you Designer Women out there.
Whatever stage of life you are in, in your reality of being God’s own creation, His masterpiece, we have something for you to bring you into wholeness and expression. We invite you to be a part of our journey and just like I wrote in 2016, I wish you happy new days!,
